In the year 2018

  1. Continued publication of monthly e-newsletter “Voice of Senior Citizens”
  2. Completed orientation class for a team of Nepal Red Cross in Nepalgunj with support from Swiss Red Cross.
  3. Continued Monthly Discussion Forum on Ageing (MDFA)- a common platform for sharing knowledge on ageing issues.
  4. Participated in 5th National Elder Abuse Conference, Sydney Australia on 19th and 20th  February, 2018.
  5. Observed International Women’s Day 2018.
  6. Observed World Health Day 2018 in collaboration with HelpAge International and other local NGO as ADA on Health Campaign.
  7. Published Year Book of Senior Citizens 2018.
  8. Handed over the project “Basic Literacy Class for Older Persons” of Budanilkantha Municipality Ward 11 to local government for its further continuation.
  9. The International Association of Lions Clubs felicitated Mr. Krishna M. Gautam, Chairperson at Ageing Nepal along with eminent national personalities.
  10. Continued providing Ageing Research Fellowship for 3 Master’s Level students.
  11. Ms. Sanju T. Magar, Programme Officer and Ms. Pabitra Adhikari, Project Coordinator at Ageing Nepal participated in HelpAge Global Network, Resource Development Workshop on 15th- 17th May 2018. 
  12. Started Basic Literacy Class for Older Persons in Boudha Municipality ward-6.
  13. Observed World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2018 in partnership with HelpAge International, government and local organizations.
  14. Started Basic Literacy Class for Older Persons in Gokarneshwor Municipality ward-6.
  15. Observed International Day of Older Persons 2018 in collaboration with HelpAge International and other local organization.
  16. Ms. Sanju T. Magar, Programme Officer of Ageing Nepal participated in HelpAge Asia Pacific Regional Conference on Family, Community and Society in Tehran, I.R. Iran from 23-25 October 2018.
  17. Observed UHC 2018 with support from Global Health Strategies (GHS) in collaboration with several local organizations.
  18.  Nominated as a national partner of Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People (GAROP).
  19. Facilitated Mr. Prabhat Kiran Pradhan, Founder Executive Treasurer of Alzheimer and Related Dementia Society (ADRS) Nepal and Ms. Ishwari Swar, Founder Chairperson of Senior Citizen Welfare Association Nepal to participate in “Older Activist Training Workshop” in Kigali, Rwanda from 26th -30th November 2018. The training was organized by The Global Alliance for the Rights of Older people (GAROP) with support from HelpAge International.
